The programs in this section are new small programs of different types.
Disks of new small programs specific to Windows, to programming, and to Games
are in those sections.

Bar Graphs 2.0 [BARGRAF] <bars.pcx>
System Analysis

displays a 3D bar graph of how many and what type of files are on your
drive.
HardTrack 1.0 [HARDTRK]
Hard Disk Utilities

keeps track of and reports on new, modified, and missing files on your
hard disk or network drive.
Internal Commands 2.1 [INTCOM]
Batch File Utilities
Geoff Friesen; $25
is an 18k TSR that adds many additional commands to DOS, most of which
are mainly of use in batch files: clear screen with color settings,
toggle -Lock key status, change the cursor shape, hide files, rename
directories, position the cursor on screen, play music in the
background, swap printer ports, sum the sizes of specified files,
suspend execution until a specified time, and more. Specifications are
included to allow programmers to add commands of their own.

lets you add, delete, view and print job tasks. Up to 500 entries are
allowed. A monthly calendar is included.

Games

Are you sick of seeing Smiley Faces everywhere you look. Here is your
chance for a little sick revenge: try to shoot the bouncing Smiley Face.
The faster the speed the more points per shot you earn. ("R" rated for

[Snooze] 1.0
Alarm Clock

is a TSR clock with a snooze alarm. When the alarm pops up, it displays
the current time, plays a tune, and allows you to either turn it off or
select a 3 minute or 5 minute snooze before the alarm pops up again.

Credit Card Checker [CCCHKR]

is a 70k TSR which does basic validation of credit card numbers. It
can be used in a swap mode that just takes 7k. It can be configured to
grab credit card numbers from an order-entry screen.
Investment Withdrawal 1.0 [INVEST]
Financial Analysis
Peter L. Fishback; $10
shows the effect of inflation and taxes on withdrawals from an
investment fund. You select the percent of income earned to be withdrawn
and the program will determine the amount which must be withdrawn
monthly to maintain your purchasing power.

ViruScan Utility
Datachip; $50
is a group of programs to automate and manage virus scanning using
McAfee's ViruScan program. It can be used on standalone or networked
PCs.
MenuMedia 1.0 [MENUMED] <mm.pcx>
DOS Menu
EFD Systems; $8
is a quick and easy DOS menu application. You can create a menu data
file with any text editor (or even using COPY CON:) with each line
containing the menu prompt followed by the program name to run if the
prompt is selected.
Programs to run can include COM, EXE and batch files, as well as calling
MenuMedia to execute a submenu or parent menu. You can also specify a
"wallpaper" in the form of a PCX file of your choosing (see screen shot)
or ANSI graphics.
VGA Clear Screen [VGACLR]

is a set of 28 VGA designs for clearing the screen with a graphics
display. Designs include shadows, doors, stars, an exploding ball, and
more. Requires EGA/VGA.
View 2.1 [VIEW]
File Viewing
David M. Dibble, $0
is a very small (1k) file viewing utility, ideal for inclusion on
distribution disks. In fact, we include View on all of our disks.
Assembly source code is included.

Create A Quiz. 1.2 [CAQUIZ]
Test Making
Philip Kapusta; $12
lets you create multiple choice and fill-in-the-blank quizzes. Teachers
can create interactive on-screen or printed quizzes for students.
Solutions to each question can be suppressed or displayed on a printout.
Other features include mouse support, full line text editing, progress
charts, and password protection for quizzes.
Driv-Man. 1.01 [DRIVMAN]
Disk & Drive Utilities
Micrometric ASP; $25
is a disk management tool. It shows logical disk drive data for up to 26
drives on one screen.

tells you the type of floppy drives on a machine. Since you cannot tell
a high-density from low-density drive by looking, this is handy if you
are on a strange machine.
Envi-Man. 1.03 [ENVIMAN]
Operating System Utilities
Micrometric ASP; $25
is an environment analysis utility. It shows all of the current
environment strings and data such as the location, size and space
availability of the master environment. It also lets a batch file know
how much environment space is currently available and provides a
graceful exit if there is not enough.
Faxer 1.1 [FAXER]
Communications: FAX
Simple Simon Software; $0
sends a fax to a fax machine/board without CAS or any other interface.
It should work on most Class 1 boards using Rockwell chips.
GRFBook [GRFBOOK] <grf_book.pcx>
Electronic Publishing
EFD Systems; $30
is an electronic hypertext publishing system that supports integrated
text and PCX files.

Batch File Utilities

displays menus in batch files. Options include user response time limit,
menu positioning, erasing screen before/after menu display, and menu
sound, color and type customization.
Path-Man. 1.13 [PATHMAN]
Path Utilities
Micrometric ASP; $20
determines if a file is located on a path directory. Errorlevel is set
for batch file use.
PRT-Menu. 1.0 [PRTMENU]
Printer Control
Larry W. Nicholas; $20
is a printer menu which allows you to access the following various
features of your printer: color selection, character font, character
highlight, character pitch, word processing, paper feed, paper feed
(amount), and page format. Requires a mouse, VGA and Epson or compatible
dot matrix printer.

(CM-02) ZIP 1.63 [ZIP] is a utility to transfer files between two IBM
compatible computers over an ordinary serial cable connection.
NEW: options for handling hidden, system, read/only, and archive files.
(ED-06) Big Math Attack 1.0 [BIGMATH] tests math, spelling, typing and
metric conversions skills in an arcade environment.
(GA-03) DragCity 3.0 [DRAGCIT] drag racing game.

(GA-03) Moraff's Super Blast I [SUPBLAST] is an advanced breakout type game.
(GA-05) Blitz 3.6 [BLITZ] is a very strong game of checkers with many options.
(GA-05) Contax 2.2 [CONTAX] is a game variant of GO.
(GA-05) Domino 4.2 [DOMINO] matches you against the computer in a
challenging game of dominos. (Formerly a large program on disk #828.)
(GA-05) Dynamo Draughts 5.9 [DYNAMO] is the European version of
Draughts, a variant of checkers.
(GA-05) Flip-It 4.7 [FLIP_IT] is an interesting variation of Reversi/Othello.
(GA-05) TakeNote 6.1 [TAKENOT] is a study tool for chess. NEW: tutorial.
